Before a piece ships we wear it: on the train, up stairs, through a full commute and back. Seams are stressed, hems are checked after a dozen washes, and anything that bags out, rides up, or itches goes back to the pattern table.
Fabric is chosen for how it behaves, not how it looks flat. We favor blends that stretch and recover, dry fast, and take a crease without complaint. If it cannot survive a normal week, it does not make the line.
