Rear derailleur skips under load after a new chain. Worn cassette?

I fitted a new chain last weekend and now the rear skips whenever I push hard on the climbs, mostly in the three smallest sprockets. The old chain measured 0.75 on the checker, so I left it too long. Is the cassette worn out, or is there something I can try first? It is an 11 speed cassette with about 6,000 km on it.

Mine was the jockey wheels, oddly enough. Worn teeth on them made it skip in the same cogs.

Good thread. I have just ordered a chain checker off the back of it.

New cassette fitted this evening and it is silent under load. Thank you all, marking Jonas's answer as the solution.
