Using the site means agreeing to a few plain terms. The house rules cover how we treat each other; these cover the site itself.
Your account
One account per person, in your own name or a nickname the club knows you by. Keep your password to yourself: you are responsible for what is posted from your account.
Your posts
What you write stays yours. By posting it you allow Chainline to show it on the site and to keep it there after you stop posting, so that threads other riders rely on still make sense. Do not post anything you do not have the right to share, such as other people’s photos or personal details.
Advice is shared in good faith
Repair and route advice on the site comes from members, not from professionals. Use it with care, and when a repair involves brakes, steering or anything load-bearing and you are not sure, ask a mechanic to check your work.
Moderation
The committee may edit or remove posts that break the house rules, and may suspend accounts that keep doing so. We say why when we do.
Changes
If these terms change in a way that matters, we say so on the site before the change takes effect.
