Hand tools worth resharpening

The best tools ask to be maintained. Sharpening is not a chore, it is the relationship.

A chisel or plane iron that takes a keen edge and holds it is worth ten that cannot. Learn to read a burr, keep a stone within reach, and a two-minute touch-up brings a tired edge back to shaving sharp.

Maintenance is what separates a tool from a consumable. Oil the steel, wax the soles, keep the handles tight, and the same set that started your first project will still be true for the next one.
