Notice what catches your eye

Before you try to make something new, give yourself a chance to notice. Walk through a familiar space and find five things you usually overlook: a shadow, a texture, a color, a shape, a sound. Write down one sentence about each. You are building a personal collection of starting points.

Make it your own

Your practice: Collect five observations. Choose one that surprises you and sketch it in sixty seconds.
